Abha

Al-Muftaha Village is nestled along the banks of Abha Valley and stands as a premier cultural and tourist center. It showcases the authentic architectural style of the Asir region, featuring thick adobe walls, small windows, and traditional "raqqaf" design elements that provide protection from rain and heat.
The village is home to the King Fahd Cultural Center and the Fine Arts Village, both established over 35 years ago. It hosts a variety of shops offering handicrafts, silverware, honey, traditional tools, and antiques.
The district also includes the Al-Muftaha Theater, recently renamed Talal Maddah Theater in honor of the legendary Saudi singer. The venue seats over 3,500 people and is equipped with state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems, regularly hosting high-profile artistic and theatrical performances.
Tuesday Traditional Market
One of the oldest markets in the Asir region, the Tuesday Market takes place weekly and is known for its oval layout, pedestrian pathways, and open-air stalls. It features a wide range of locally made products and handicrafts that reflect Asiri culture in a charming traditional setting.
